Katie Spadola, Director of Destination Dance found her passion for dance at a very young age. Her desire to share this passion with others, lead her to teaching. Miss Katie has been teaching for over 10 years and carries a Bachelors Degree in Business with a Minor in Dance from Adelphi University. She is also proud to be Child First Aid and CPR certified, acknowledging that her student’s safety comes first. Miss Katie has been dancing professionally since the young age of 17 around the U.S. and Canada. She continues to take classes in NYC at Broadway Dance Center, Steps, and attends dance teacher’s conferences annually. Miss Katie has been featured in the November 2007 issue of
Dance Teacher Magazine attending 2007 Teacher’s Conference. Just to name a few, Miss Katie has been associated with and choreographed for the
Scilla Dance Studio, Dance Innovation Inc, Fantasy Music and Entertainment, BodyRock, Public School 107, and
Saint Agnes Academic H.S. Her award winning choreography gave her the opportunity to choreograph the opening number for
Broadway Dancers Over 40 in 2006, where she brought tears to the eyes of many veteran and current Broadway dancers.
Miss Katie founded Destination Dance in 2008 with the goal to instill the passion and love of dance, music and the performing arts in all of her students.
